As a well hidden gem in the Ionian sea «Meganisi» is an ideal destination for peaceful and quiet holidays. It constitutes one of the smallest inhabited islands in the region of the Ionian islands. On the contrary, it is the largest island (hence its name “Big island”) in the province of Lefkada in which it belongs as a part of the Pringiponisia island complex. Ferry line connection is operated throughout the whole year and the departing point is at the port of Nydri about 90 meters from Gogo’s Rooms & Studios.

"Papanicolis Cave"

It is well known for the remarkable Papanicolis Cave the second largest cave in Greece where its name comes from a Greek submarine “Papanicolis” which was using the cave as a base during the second world war.  It was named after the thrilled submarine of The island it is characterized by its beautiful natural landscape, its secluded beaches with crystal clear waters and its traditional and picturesque villages. A special morphological feature of Meganisi is the large number of coves along its coastline which naturally creates ideal conditions for anchoring.
