Nydri Waterfalls
The Gorge of Dimossari
Dimossari or Nydri waterfalls are located approximately 3 km away from Gogo’s Rooms & Studios, that is a 45 min walk from the property. It is an ideal destination for nature lovers and the ones who would like to find some refreshing moments away from the high temperatures during summer. Its natural environment consists of a lush plane tree forest, rugged and rounded white rocks forming small canyons and several small ponds. Its water source originating from the high mountainous area of the island to the “gorge of Dimossari” forming a natural pool of frozen water.
Rachi Village
Heading towards the parking area of the Waterfalls you will have to pass the settlement of Rachi and afterwards the football stadium of Nydri. You could reach the parking lot either by driving or by walking. Whichever way you choose, your quest to reach the main-top waterfall includes an approximately 15 mins of hiking through plane trees and over the stream. Visiting the Waterfall at the far end of the season, late October, where rainy days have reached the island can, can give you a unique and more adventurous experience.
